The annual Concert Performance Assessment will take place next week. The Symphonic Band will perform on March 8th and the Wind Ensemble will perform on March 10th at MTSU in Murfreesboro. We encourage family and friends to attend the concert portion of this event. Please see below for detailed itineraries.

BELMONT BASKETBALL PEPBAND
From Dr. Kraus…
Many of our Belmont Bruin Blast pep band members are gone for the holidays, and we are in need of talented area high school musicians to play for our holiday basketball game on Monday, December 28. The call time is 5:30 pm at the Curb Event Center, and the game begins at 7:00. The students will be paid $20, and pizza will be provided. Many of your students have done this in the past, and we have enjoyed hosting them. If you have interested students, please have them contact me via EMAIL (barry.kraus@belmont.edu) ASAP.

Please note all after school rehearsals and concerts and plan accordingly. We have also posted next year’s band camp dates for your convenience and summer planning. This is in no way exhaustive and dates may be added, taken away, or changed.

Playoff Game #1 Adjustments
As of now, students will be wearing show shirts with Khaki, Blue or Black pants with Tennis Shoes. All scheduled times are remaining the same with 4:45PM Band Room Opening and 5:30PM call time for students.
Congrats & Playoff Game #1 Schedule
Congratulations to the McGavock HS Marching Band on an outstanding finish to a wonderful marching season. The band qualified for finals at COC once again, continuing their unprecedented streak of finals placements. The band finished 7th in prelims out of 26 bands from 4 states, in one of the toughest line ups in 20 years. Finals were canceled and prelims performances counted for finals results. Thank you to all the students, parents, alumni, staff and helpers along the way that made this a very special season and one that we will not forget! The LONG BLUE LINE marches on.

Columbia Congrats!
Congratulations to the McGavock Marching Band on their outstanding accomplishments this Saturday at the Columbia Invitational Marching Contest. The band was received 1st place in class 4A in prelims, winning Best Field Commander, Best Color Guard, Best Visual, Best Effect and Best Music. In finals, the band finished 3rd overall and won best field commander and color guard. Again, congratulations to the McGavock Band on this outstanding accomplishment.

The Overton contest has been cancelled. We are loading busses and heading back to school now. We should return by 3:45 to unload the truck. Please plan to pick up your student at 4:15pm.
