Congratulations to the following students for making Midstate Bands, Midstate Jazz Bands and All State bands! What an outstanding accomplishment and we are very proud of you all!
McGavock Holiday Concert 12/5
Join us for the annual Holiday Band Concert Tuesday, December 5 at 7 PM. The concert will feature the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Brass Choir and Woodwind Choir performing some of your favorite Christmas and Holiday favorites.

Please see important dates for November/December below. Please make sure that students are at all events on time. Notice that we have after school rehearsals this week for both Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band.
Midstate Flute Workshop Opportunity
Mid-State Audition Workshops for Flutes
- Michelle Browne and Abi Coffer will be conducting comprehensive 2.5 hour long workshop sessions for all age flutists trying out for Mid-State. They will cover all aspects of the audition including:
- how to control nerves
- how to play the perfect scale
- how to be a better sightreader
- how to stand out from the crowd on prepared music
- how to maintain a clear and focused tone when auditioning
- how to exude confidence while playing
- how to control nerves
- There will also be a flute repair tech on hand to do adjustments and minor repairs to flutes during the workshop so that instruments are in top shape for the audition.
- Cost is $40 for the workshop and $20 extra to get their flutes checked out.
- Location is KHS America, home of Altus, Azumi and Jupiter flutes. Address: 12020 Volunteer Blvd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

- Tuesday, November 14th – 4:30 to 7PM for 9/10th grade (register by 11/10/17)
- Tuesday, November 14th – 6:30 to 9PM for 11/12th grade (register by 11/10/17)
