Rehearsal on Thursday will be from 6-9PM due to expected high heat. The rehearsal was originally planned for 2:30 – 5:00. This has also been changed on the Charms calendar.
The 2016 Show Shirt Order has been very popular! We have decided to extend to August 25th!! Show shirts will be should be here before the first competition!
Please get orders in before that date in order to get your shirt!

Tick Tock Part 1 Music is now available on Charms for all Woodwind and Brass players. You MUST be logged in and be a member of the 2016 Marching Band in order to find the files. It is under “2016 Marching Band Music” in the handouts and files folders.

The 2016 Marching Band season is upon us! We are incredibly excited about this coming year and all the great things that come along with it!
Below are the three initial documents. We must have the Band Camp Registration Form by May 13th with deposit!
The TSSAA Physical form is required by the state and district. It must be done AFTER May 1st to be valid for next year’s season. Please turn this in ASAP.

The 2015-16 Late fall, spring, summer overview has been posted to the web site. You can click on the red button on the right hand side that says “2016 Spring Schedule”, find it on Charms, or click here.
Please note all after school rehearsals and concerts and plan accordingly. We have also posted next year’s band camp dates for your convenience and summer planning. This is in no way exhaustive and dates may be added, taken away, or changed.
The McGavock HS Marching Band did a great job at Antioch Saturday. They persevered through the torrential downpour halfway through the performance. We requested that the band not be scored against the other band in our class due to the extenuating circumstance and lack of equitable comparison, and the Antioch Band Director agreed. Apparently, there was a miscommunication between him and the press box announcer and our score was announced inadvertently. Needless to say, the students and parents all pushed through and did a wonderful job and we are so proud!
Please find the TRI Itinerary and the October Band Overview on Charms or by clicking those links. We were able to reserve the MTSU stadium once again this year on Monday, 10/19 for the annual COC dress rehearsal. Please see detailed times on the pdf.
The Contest of Champions will be held in the MTSU stadium in Murfreesboro on Saturday, October 31, 2015. This prestigious competition awards the only sanctioned Tennessee State Marching Band Champion Governor’s Cup Trophy. We need and always have a large cheering section, so plan to come and support your student and the entire Band.
You have the opportunity to purchase reserved seat tickets in advance, so get your order in early so you can be seated in the McGavock Cheering Block section! Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. We will only have a limited number of tickets, so order early. You can always purchase general admission tickets at the gate. **This year there are only group block reserved tickets for full day (prelims/finals).
This is due no later than Thursday, October 1st. The flyer is also available in the Marching Band Forms folder in Charms.
