Mailwell & Fair Share
There will be a Mailwell opportunity on the evening of Thursday, February 25th. We will need approximately 20 people to do this Mailwell. If you plan to come, please plan to commit to the entire evening! You can sign up by e-mailing 4packerbacker@comcast.net

Kenton J Hull Scholarship
The Kenton J. Hull, Jr. Music Education Scholarship Award was established by the Two Rivers High School and McGavock High School Band Alumni Association in memory of the band director of the former Two Rivers High School and founding director of the McGavock High School bands.
Kenny Hull inspired hundreds of his students to pursue the highest level of excellence in all facets of band performance. Many were motivated by his example to pursue music as a profession. We dedicate this scholarship to McGavock students interested in pursuing music as a career and who will strive for the excellence that Kenny Hull exemplified. There was a standard set on the day that the doors to McGavock High School opened and this scholarship is intended to aid students whose sights are set on advancement of that standard.
The Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from McGavock High School for use towards higher education in the field of music.
The amount of the one-time scholarship award will be determined annually based on the amount of funds in the account. Funds will be disbursed directly to the institution of higher learning, on behalf of the scholarship recipient after they have been accepted and enrolled in their music program.
Booster Meeting Cancelled
There will be no Booster meeting tonight, January 19th due to impending weather and other extenuating circumstances. Thank you and stay warm!
First Aid Kit Fundraiser
Don’t forget about our current fundraiser – Save Around coupon books. They cost $20 and you earn $10 for each book sold. You receive one free book if you sell five books. This sale ends January 29th.
On Monday, January 11th, we will start our first aid kit fundraiser. This is a home first aid kit and an auto first aid kit. They sell for $10 and you make $6 off of each one sold. This sale ends January 29th. A sale sheet and information sheet can be found here. Printed copies can also be picked up in the band room beginning January 11th. BELMONT BASKETBALL PEPBAND
From Dr. Kraus…
Many of our Belmont Bruin Blast pep band members are gone for the holidays, and we are in need of talented area high school musicians to play for our holiday basketball game on Monday, December 28. The call time is 5:30 pm at the Curb Event Center, and the game begins at 7:00. The students will be paid $20, and pizza will be provided. Many of your students have done this in the past, and we have enjoyed hosting them. If you have interested students, please have them contact me via EMAIL (barry.kraus@belmont.edu) ASAP.
Pizza Hut Fundraiser
We have a new fundraiser starting November 23rd and ending December 18th. We have Pizza Hut coupon cards that cost $10 each. You make $6 off of each card sold. The card has 12 coupons for 12 free pizzas(up to three toppings) each time you spend $15. They expire June 30, 2016. There is no order form. Just email Christy Earl at earlfamily391@gmail.com how many you want and she will get them to you. Checks can be made payable to McGavock Band Boosters.
Fruit Pickup Tonight (11/19)
Fruit may be picked up from 5:30 – 7:00PM tonight, November 19th in the band room. Please make arrangements to have the fruit picked up. We are sorry for the inconvenience that the fruit was not delivered on Wednesday. These were circumstances outside of our control.
