The McGavock High School Band of Nashville, Tennessee has a long and rich tradition of musical excellence, including a legacy of 25 Tennessee Marching State Champion Governor’s Cups and 5 Bands of America Grand National Finalist appearances.

The “Long Blue Line” of the McGavock High School Band began in 1971–with Kenny J. Hull as founding Director of Bands. Almost immediately after the program’s inception, an unmatched tradition would be created. The McGavock Band Program prides itself on upholding excellence in all that we do. The Band is under the direction of Mr. Chris Mudd with assistance from Mr. Cole Gregory.
